PRR #5741 makes it's first full view appearance on RP. This engine is one of the best preserved class of PRR engines with 3 in existence.
The other two survivors, incidentally, are #35 and #39 from the Long Island Railroad. Both are undergoing restoration to operation, albeit at a slow pace. The boiler and firebox of #39 is currently at the Strasburg Rail Road shops.
A collection of engines, cabooses, cars, etc., great and small that are past their prime, but represent a spirit of railroading that will never pass away!!
An attempt to put the best picture of engines that represent each of America's railroads. When a better picture of an engine/type is found, it will be added.
