Remarks & Notes

A westbound Santa Fe train was descending Cajon Pass west of Cajon station. This was the power off the jointly operated DRGW UP Santa Fe Utah to Kaiser Steel in Fontana, CA coal train, it was normal practice for Santa Fe to use the power on a Kaiser or San Bernardino to Barstow train and return while the coal train was being dumped at the steel plant.
