Remarks & Notes
A Canadian Pacific stack train exits the Black Canyon Tunnel west of Ashcroft, British Columbia, on June 25, 2006. Two GE AC4400CWs power the train, led by No. 9707. The Canadian National line also traversing the scenic canyon can be seen closer to the Thompson River, while the former grade of the single-track CP is between, abandoned when double track here was extended to the east, shortly before this photograph was made.
