Remarks & Notes
By August 18, 1985, Rio Grande's Helper car shop was a true survivor that featured vintage buff and brown paint with the obsolete 'Scenic Line of the World' Royal Gorge Route logo painted above four creaky wood and corrugated steel doors. The structure would endure one additional winter prior to a demolition that would erase it from the scene by May 1986.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
