| A Santa Fe westbound has stopped on the shoe-fly around the wreck site near Cajon Summit. Heavy rains washed out the double main line, leaving the tracks hanging in the air above the washout. Santa Fe 5037 east came around the corner after cresting summit and crashed into the canyon below, along with three other locomotives and many autoracks. A very sad and tragic event. |
