| A ghost from the past is revealed lettered on the side of this bridge at North Branch, on the east side of Cumberland, MD. The former B&O main line passes below--where an eastbound behind a "stealth" GE is picking up speed as a westbound hopper train is on the last approach to the yard. The WM's line here was deemed expendable when the road was absorbed into the Chessie System. |
