| Some of the trappings of the past are still in place at the restored depot at Alderson, WV. It's still a flag stop for Amtrak's tri-weekly Cardinal, but the station is no longer manned. Outside, there's an old C&O baggage wagon (also called a "float" on other railroads) which is showing the signs of the sometimes harsh West Virginia elements. |
