A statue of a trackwalker is all that is left of the Southern Pacific Burbank Branch through the west side of Burbank. This branch once connected to the SP Coast Line at Chatsworth and Burbank Junction, allowing for a backup route through more populated areas than the main. Today most of it is a busway, but this little section here is a bike path.
A tribute of appreciation to the workers who maintain the track, keeping our railways in shape regardless of weather and danger, and keeping them running effeciently.
