Remarks & Notes
This was supposedly the last Lanesboro detour train before the remnants of the old Penn Division were forever abandoned. The first train to go thru the rebuilt tunnel at Tunnel, NY would depart Binghamton at the same time that this train arrived at Binghamton. This train would sit on the Southern Tier Line as the train that went thru Tunnel would cross in front of it at BD. There was another day or two of detours a couple days later to allow for some finishing up to be done to the tunnel. The Erie coaling tower still stands today, but this line sees very little traffic now, just one NYS&W train each day.
