Remarks & Notes
End of the BNSF TRANSCON - BNSF MOW workers and their contractors replace the track on Main #1 through the station at Fullerton California. The last time this was done was 14 years ago and thanks to the strike at the port, the early part of December turned out to be a good time to do this project. Here, the two gentlemen in charge wait for a pair of front end loaders to bring in a new 40 foot track panel that will be bolted into place and then ballast rock will be dumped over it. Later, a tamper will level the panel and set the depth of the track, while a regulator will finish up for the night. I would like to thank the crew who were gracious enough to allow me to photograph their activities that night.
