Remarks & Notes

This 23 class 2-6-2 was the last steam locomotive built for Deutsche Bundesbahn in 1959. It was damaged in the museum collection fire at Nurnberg a few years ago. It is leaving Saarbrucken on a late afternoon westbound passenger train in this picture.
