Remarks & Notes
A Montana Rail Link local switches an industry in Belgrade, Montana. On the point is a former Missabe SD9. The device shown on the left is a Lock Box for the switch off of the main for the industry spur. The boxes are/were used at non-CTC controlled switches in CTC territory. Several steps are required to unlock the electric lock to allow the switch to be thrown to the spur. The part that looks like an old car window crank is the lever that would be thrown to unlock the switch. On the left is the emergency release. The circle in the upper portion indicates whether the switch is locked or unlocked.
