| Dark Satanic Mills II - an 8F 2-8-0 drifts downgrade near Linthwaite as it comes down the Colne Valley from Standege tunnel, summit of this tran-Pennine main line between Manchester and Leeds, with a Liverpool to Leeds Copley Hill freight sometime in the late 1950s. Scanned from a 6 x 9 negative taken by the late Kenneth Field of Golcar. |
