On the final day of matched Vermont Railway power on the Washington County's Connecticut River Division, train NPWJ is enroute from Newport to White River Junction, Vermont behind GP40-2 303 and GP40-2 307. The 303 will be swapped out for CLP GP40-2 306 upon arrival in White River, ending a week-long pairing of Vermont Railway units for Conn River Division. The NPWJ is rolling into East Barnet and Morrison's Feed to perform switching, as maintenance workers await the train's passage to go back to work.
