| Amtrak's eastbound Cardinal briefly pauses in downtown Alderson, observing its 'flag stop' before continuing east along the route of the C&O's George Washington. Fall colors are post peak at this point, but foliage is still decent, as Amtrak's passengers enjoy a beautiful trip through the New River Gorge and Alleghany. |
