Remarks & Notes
The Utah Central Railway serves two segments of former Union Pacific and Rio Grande trackage around the Ogden, Utah area. Former US Air Force GE 44-ton #1237 is photographed shuffling an SP box car in the former D&RGW Transfer yard in Oct. 1994. Commodities shipped by the UCRY include chemicals, asphalt, diesel fuel, plastic, coil steel, utility poles, sugar, wheat and lumber. The short line is now owned by Patriot Rail and the current roster includes three ex-Conrail GP15-1s.
