| Brand new powerful electric cogwheel locomotive for the MRS Logistica S.A Brazil, stored without bogies beside the parking lot outside Stadler Rail's Bussnang works. The 5000 kW locomotive for 3000 V DC will get two 1600 mm gauge twoaxle bogies with 4 cogwheel sets. The service will be on the about 10 kilometer long Abt system cogwheel section Paranapiacaba – Raiz da Serra (max. grade 10.4 %) of the line from Sao Paolo to the port of Santos. Stadler Rail will deliver 7 of this most powerful cogwheel locomotives worldwide. |
