Remarks & Notes
Here you see Reading No. 2124 after her recent asbestos abatement project sporting a fresh paint job bathing in the warm setting Scranton sun. A few hours before I was part of the crew that placed her on the Diesel Sand track in the Steamtown yard for the 2012 Rail Fest. Personal note: This was the first steam locomotive I ever saw under steam. That was in June 1961. Its now 2012 and I am kind of glad I am able help the old girl around a little bit. Though I might add that she looks brand new while I do not!

The Reviving Age Of Steam Restoration

As the years go by, more and more steam engines are being restored and operating therefore the old expression "steam is dead" is nothing but a false expression. Steam is strong and still ruling the rails.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
