Remarks & Notes
Surplus: Rust streaks adorn the flank of Amtrak 2131, one of power cars on the only RTL-II Turboliner set in existence, which for years has been slowly crumbling behind the former Super Steel Schenectady complex. Unfortunately, New York State has finally declared its Turboliner fleet surplus and seeks to dispose of all the cars and parts by the end of the year. A depressing end to a unique collection of cars that were once intended to be the poster child for New York's high-speed rail program.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
Engine Details

Generally speaking, shots where less than a full engine is shown. But I want to feature details, not half engines or full cabs, and definitely not full nose shots. Just shots where someone has zoomed in with purpose.
