Remarks & Notes
Changing of the Guard.. A Cranemasters employee has just began cutting on the C&O signal heads protecting eastbound movements on main two at Mt. Carbon.. Within an hour, the entire cantilever will be dismantled and ultimately delivered to a local scrap yard. After reliably guiding trains for almost four decades, and functioning up to the day of its removal, another small piece of the C&O falls as a victim to progress. For a view of this signal on better terms, click HERE.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
