Even at 1900 hours the temperature was still hovering around 28 degrees. Lady Fortune must have looked kindly upon me this evening as she blessed me not only with the 'rods down' but (much against expectations in this sultry evening heat) with a truly impressive exhaust! Immaculately turned out 'Black 5' No.44932 is at the helm with the evening 'Scarborough Spa Express' heading towards Normanton at Whitwood Junction.
