| On a 92-degree day in the White Mountains, a scene that could have pre-dated Guilford and Pan Am Railways is played out daily on the Conway Scenic Railroad's former Maine Central trackage between North Conway and Bartlett and on to Crawford Notch. On August 8, the CSRR "Notch Train" 162 is seen cruising past the arriving CSRR "Valley Train" 21 at the Bartlett depot. Train 31's lights are dimmed as both trains are doing a rolling meet.
