| Remarks & Notes |
| Like many lines featuring great scenery, the Oregon Trunk isn't the busiest line around. Plenty of patience and luck are required by the photographer who chooses to shoot this line. Luck was on my side this day, as there were a couple trains running around. Thanks to some slow orders, this morning southbound was delayed enough that I was able to catch it in early daylight crossing the Trout Creek Trestle. Despite featuring exclusively BNSF traffic, this portion of the Oregon Trunk between South Jct and Metolius was originally a UP line. |
