Remarks & Notes
As a CB&Q switcher putters in Burlington's coach yard, GM&O Train 1, "The Limited," with E7 103A and E8 100A, leaves Chicago on Aug. 1, 1968, taken from railfan's favorite overlook -- Roosevelt Ave. bridge. A one-way parlor seat on this train to St. Louis only cost $2.22 more than a coach seat. The throat of Chicago Union Station had a number of double slip-switches.
