Remarks & Notes
NKP 765 leads its deadhead move through Nolan, WV and by the classic N&W signals still in service here en route to Williamson, WV. The 765 crew has a N&W 'hooter' whistle from a N&W Y6a class engine on the engine for this day and the rest of its operations later in the week. No doubt that this exact whistle echoed off these same mountains many times before. Click here to view a video of this scene.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
