Remarks & Notes
One of the most luxourious trains worldwide is the "Venice Simplon-Orient-Express" (VSOE), founded by James Sherwood of Kentucky, USA, in 1982, and part of the Orient-Express Hotels Ltd today. The train run usually from London (separate carriages in the UK) via Paris-Basle-Innsbruck-Brenner-Verona to Venice and back. Because of temporarily closure of the Brenner line in Austria, the train is diverted via the Gotthard line and pulled by Re 4/4 II 11194 and 11140 over the Reuss bridge near Oberrüti.
