| This beautiful 4 unit set of all of the Deseret Power Ry’s active E60 electric’s is stopped on the line waiting for orders near MP22. MP22 is practically on the Utah/Colorado state line. Engineer Boyd Millsaps is waiting for a call from the Maintenance of Way gang a couple of miles ahead at Mormon Gap to finish replacing a rail. Until then the two of us stood out in the warm sun and talked, and this railfan learned a lot about the railroad. This is the first empty train of the day on its way back east to the Deserado Mine’s loadout. |
