Remarks & Notes
Stamped on the old railroad trestle in Peak, SC. Tis 1904 structure replaced a bridge burned by Confederate soldiers in 1865 to thwart Sherman's march across South Carolina. It was abandoned by Norfolk Southern in the 1990s and is now a walking trail that includes several miles of the former Southern V line.
