| A northbound Norfolk Southern train crosses the Cumberland River at Burnside, Kentucky, on a hot and hazy August 23, 1992. On the point of train No. 196 is NS No. 8596 which is a GE C39-8; and yes, the locomotive is operating facing forward, Norfolk Southern-style!
