| Remarks & Notes |
| This is PRR's daily local, S71, which ran from Northumberland to Selinsgrove Jct., then out the Selinsgrove Secondary to the PP&L power plant in Shamokin Dam, PA. (coal loads). It then continued to Selinsgrove, Middleburg or McClure. Out-and-back trips replaced through trips over the line to and from Lewistown in 1953, and by 1957 PRR abandoned the track between McClure and Maitland. The Nite-Kraft factory, later Champ hats, was demolished in Spring 2012. Thanks to Alexander D. Mitchell IV for this historical background. PRR Class H10. |
