| Time-travelers meet at Los Pinos. A Lerro Productions Photo Freight sits in the hole at Los Pinos Siding to allow the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad's regular, daily westbound run out of Antonito to pass on the main. Watching this scene develop, it occurred to me that although our photo charter and the tourists on the passenger train were out here in the Colorado wilderness under rather different circumstances, we were really two very like-minded groups of time-travelers, fleeing our hectic and demanding world, for a fleeting glimpse of what life was like in a much simpler time. |
