| The walk out to this location wasn't THAT bad--drive the farm road to the UP Washy at Ankeny, then down a farmer's field under the big trestle. . .then along the rocks and up onto the bluff overlooking the former SP&S flyover across the Union Pacific. Then you waited. Eventually, train #001 showed up with a GP39-2 leading two SD40-2s in the last weeks of operation on the former SP&S Pasco-Spokane mainline. |
