| Virginia Museum of Transportation executive director Bev Fitzpatrick (far right) is joined by Danny Smith of NS, Jim Wrinn of Trains Magazine, and other officials for the dedication of repainted N&W Bicentennial SD45 1776. Trains Magazine provided a $10,000 preservation grant to make the project possible. Retired N&W steam giants 611 and 1218 look on in the background. The museum had a very festive and well-planned event to celebrate the 1776--and newly restored Chesapeake & Western Baldwin 662. |
