| Here's the Rio Grande I adored as a kid: Six four axle high horsepower EMDs hauling freight through my hometown of Provo. There was a speed restriction through the city limits. Once a train approached either end of town, it was full throttle acceleration to track speed. D&RGW 3085 and siblings rattle neighborhood windows at Backman's Curve on May 20, 1977. |
