| On June 19th, the NRHS ran a special train from Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Rock Island, Illinois and return as part of the 2012 NRHS convention. Between Homestead and Rock Island, steam power pulled the train. Here's the consist (a real "dog's breakfast" with a tank car, tool car, Iowa Northern F40s, and an assortment of passenger cars) steaming through West Liberty. The train was restricted to 25 mph because the heat. |
