| The end of their lives is just hours away, but the four former Espee SD45's entrusted to the morning coal turn down to the end of the line at Mohrland makes it clear that though worn out, they aren't going down without a fight. The four SD's throttle up to run to the upper end of the yard; poking out of the enginehouse are three ex-BN F45s, which had already turned their last wheel in service. On the next track over, MPI-liveried SD40 rebuilds, awaiting the start of their lease period the next day. |
