| Remarks & Notes |
| Outside of the Powder River Basin, you just don't see coal trains of one railroad being held by the dispatcher for another coal train of the home railroad to get by--but coal train run-arounds weren't as rare as you might expect on the Utah Railway of the late 1980s. At dusk above the crossover at Rio, D&RGW's dispatcher has held a westbound Utah Railway coal train bound for Moapa, Nevada, to let the three Union Pacific SD60s on an IPPX coal load bound for the Intermountain Power Project plant near Delta to get around on the slickly-dispatched two main track. |
