Remarks & Notes
All set up to shoot the DL Portland Turn here, as the leader came into the scene in the pitch dark I watched the ditch lights to position the locomotive, so I had no hint of the presence of an as-built RS-3! Glimpsed in the flash, what a sight! A personal favorite from Lamoille Valleys roster of RS-3s, 7801 lives on as 4068 in the care of the DL. The darkness hid the surprise until the last moment!

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
