| The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express is a rare guest on the Lötschberg line. Today it was scheduled to run via the Gotthard route, but since that line is closed for several weeks due to a landslide, it had to be diverted. Equally rare are trains hauled by two Re 460 - a single unit is normally sufficient, but the VSOE is quite a heavy beast on the 26‰ grades. |
