N&W's mixed train, #202 with 4-8-0 No. 382, has returned from its run to West Jefferson, N.C. and is in the siding at Abingdon, VA to meet time freight #88 led by Y6b 2-8-8-2 #2180 on Aug. 8, 1956 (the year I began shooting color slides). Up ahead in the same siding is the mainline local which operated between Bristol and Radford. Both trains will proceed to Bristol after the passage of Train 88. Pretty clear stack on the Y6b.
