| Flying the fallen flag: Union Pacific freight MDVRO approaches Tunnel 1 east of Plainview, Colorado, on September 29, 1998. All three former Rio Grande GP60s are on the point, although the big road from Omaha has already painted the 3156 yellow and renumbered it 5702. Following the GP60s are six AC4400CWs in both Southern Pacific and UP paint. An autumn storm is approaching from the west, and this will be the last sunny shot of the day.
