| Remarks & Notes |
| Struggling up grade near Cotton Hill, export coal loads for Virginia make their eastward trek over the former Chesapeake & Ohio. Codeline is still in service here, a method of communication that is all but forgotten.. Just to the west, less than 5 miles, new fiber optics are being installed, in addition to new signals, killing another small portion of the C&O Railway through West Virginia. |
