| The collision happened in Afidnes station, during the entrance of a passenger train towards Athens, headed by the ADtranz locomotive A477. The switching point was not in straight position for the passenger train and was forgotten open to the left, leading A477 to a moving northbound freight train. Lack to low speed only A477 locomotive and a few freight cars were derailed, no one was dead and some passengers have injured, except the one of the two drives who had hard injured. |
