| A New York City "Canarsie Local" L-train, heading from Manhattan's 8th Avenue to Rockaway Parkway in Brooklyn, pops out of the subway and into the bright morning sunshine as it approaches the Broadway Junction stop in Brooklyn, New York, on May 19th, 2012. These R143 cars, built from 2001 to 2003 by Kawasaki Heavy Industries, are operated in sequentially numbered A-B-B-A sets. Each eight-car L-train consists of two of these four-car sets. |
