| When a bird chirping loudly outside your bedroom window wakes you up at five in the morning and you crack your eyes open to see clear skies, it kind of makes sense to throw on some dirty clothes and head trackside to see if you can pull off a shot that's been on your mind recently. After getting foiled in my attempt at this scene by the presence of a stack train on Main 2 last Friday, everything came together perfectly this morning as Sounder No. 1701 departed Mukilteo Station, lit by the rising sun and framed by both the SR 525 overpass and the distant bulk of Glacier Peak. |
