Remarks & Notes
It seems far removed today, but in the mid-1970s, Rio Grande coal train swing helps were powered by EMD GP30s, GP35s, GP40s, and GP40-2s. A healthy five pack of four axle EMDs are pictured cutting into a unit coal train at Helper Yard.
