| A storm front had moved through the previous day and so our first day in the desert wasn't quite what we were expecting, with clouds and rain. However, the morning of the 12th dawned fair and bright and the desert seemed much more in character.
My first experience of seeing mile-long double-stack trains reduced to slivers in the distance as they moved through this vast and enigmatic landscape is something i will never forget. |
