| Believe it or not, this is actually CP's yard from the SOO LINE days. Since its on their southern trans-con, most all that this place sees is an endless parade of Canadian Pacific GE's. But today, none were to be found during my short visit. A pair of ICE dash 2's head up a ballast train. Not sure where its headed, but i like to think its for siding work along the Detroit Lakes Sub north of here. While waiting, another ICE unit has headed west to the gas plant to get a few tanks, and is now making its way back into the yard. Its scenes like this that make me think there is a glimmer of hope in seeing something other than General Electric products here. |
