| GLLX 4433, one of two ex-GTW GP9's owned by Great Lakes Locomotive sits in the MQT shops in Manistee Michigan on a cold March night. 4433 is on lease to the MQT and usually works the MAC grain elevator in Newaygo. Ex-GTW high hood engines are a rare find and to find one still earning it's keep on a railroad is even rarer. Not much has changed to this old roundhouse since it was built in the steam era, evidence of this is the smoke exhaust stack above the 4433. Photo taken with Permission. |
