| HLCX 3815 has a storied history: Built as L&S 4096, then went to Seaboard 4096, then to CSX 2605, to HLLX 5605, to Southern Pacific 4869 and finally to Helm Leasing as 3815. It is currently working on the Great Western line east of Fort Collins, Colorado as a leased engine. Although the Southern Pacific speed lettering has been painted out, the red nose and gray body still screams SP. |
